PKDW is a full day, year round program offering an all inclusive meal program.
Daily Hours
Parents are requested to drop-off their child no later than 9:15am so that all children are present to begin the day’s activities.
School Holidays and Schedule
PKDW will be closed in observance of the holidays listed below. Tuition for months including these holidays remains the same. A September-August holiday/closure schedule with specific dates will be issued each September.
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving, Plus Preceeding & Following Day
- Winter Break – days to be determined, but generally Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day
- Presidents Day
- Spring Break – one week either preceding or following Easter – to match SFUSD break
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
Food Program
Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are included in the cost of tuition at PKDW.
The food program is nut free and is served family style so the children learn to help themselves with teacher assistance. Meals are an essential part of the program when children learn table manners, are exposed to new foods and are asked to try all foods that are offered so they learn the importance of eating a varied diet.
Our food vendor makes every effort to provide organic food options and to accommodate personal, dietary, cultural and religious preferences.
*Participation in the food program is strongly encouraged, but not required. There is no tuition break for families that choose to opt out of the food program.
Tuition Fees for the 2011-2011 School Year
- Full Time Tuition - $1450/month
5 days a week, including food program
- Part Time Tuition - $1000/month
3 days a week, including food program
*There are no 2 day a week part time slots.
